Brick Cladding

Reclaimed Brick Company is a leading UK supplier of brick cladding, offering an authentic brick finish without the depth or structural requirements of full brickwork. Our brick cladding is ideal for kitchens, bathrooms, fireplaces, feature walls, and retail spaces, bringing warmth, texture, and character to both residential and commercial interiors.

Brick Cladding

Manufactured in the UK, our brick cladding features brick slips that are easy to install and perfectly suited for new developments and renovation projects where time is at a premium. The reduced thickness allows for a true brick appearance while maintaining a lightweight, space and time-saving solution for new builds and retrofits alike.

Designed to replicate the look and feel of traditional brickwork, our cladding combines practicality with timeless style, making it a popular choice for heritage restorations, contemporary interiors, and statement feature walls.

Brick Cladding Systems

1. Adhesive System

The adhesive brick cladding system is the most popular and widely specified brick cladding system in the UK, particularly for small to medium-sized residential and light commercial projects. This method uses a specialist brick cladding adhesive to securely bond brick slips directly onto a suitably prepared structural substrate, such as masonry, concrete, cement board, or appropriately primed plasterboard (for internal applications).

The adhesive system is a traditional “wet fix” installation. Each brick slip is individually positioned and fixed using a high-performance adhesive, before being finished with mortar pointing to replicate the appearance of full-depth brickwork. Once installed and pointed, the finished surface is virtually indistinguishable from traditional masonry construction.

One of the key advantages of the adhesive brick cladding system is its flexibility. It allows for natural variation in brick placement, making it particularly well-suited to reclaimed brick slips where character, texture, and subtle irregularities are part of the design appeal. This system is suitable for both interior and exterior applications when installed correctly with appropriate preparation and weather protection.

2. Mechanical Rail Systems

The mechanical rail system is a modern, dry-install brick cladding solution designed to improve speed, precision, and consistency on larger or more time-sensitive projects. Rather than relying solely on adhesive bonding, this system uses pre-fixed metal rails or engineered carrier boards that are securely installed onto the structural wall before the brick slips are applied.

Each brick slip is specially manufactured with additional grooves cut into the top and bottom edges. These grooves allow the slips to slot directly into the horizontal metal rails, creating two points of mounted contact. This mechanical fixing method provides enhanced stability and ensures uniform joint spacing throughout the installation. Once installed, the system can be pointed with mortar to replicate traditional brickwork, or in some configurations, left as a dry-joint finish depending on design requirements.

One of the main advantages of a mechanical rail brick cladding system is installation efficiency. Because joint spacing is pre-determined by the rail configuration, alignment is quicker and more consistent, reducing on-site labour time and potential installation errors. Mechanical systems are particularly suited to projects where build speed, repeatability, and quality control are critical.

3. Cladding Track Panels

Brick cladding track panels are a fast, efficient solution for achieving a traditional brick finish using a semi-modular installation method. Designed to simplify and accelerate the fitting process, track panels combine precision engineering with the authentic appearance of real brickwork.

This system typically consists of pre-formed backing panels or boards with integrated horizontal tracks. These tracks are designed to hold specially cut brick slips in consistent alignment, ensuring uniform joint spacing across the entire installation. The panels are mechanically fixed to the structural substrate such as masonry, steel frame, timber frame, or concrete before the brick slips are inserted into position.

One of the key advantages of brick cladding track panels is installation speed. Because alignment and spacing are pre-set within the panel system, the risk of uneven courses or inconsistent joints is significantly reduced. This makes it particularly suitable for large-scale developments where quality control and repeatability are essential.
